Student Ministries

What is the CRASH?

The Crash Student Ministry is a place at Ebenezer for students in grades 6th through 12th to call home. Our youth group is committed to providing knowledge, resources, and activities that help parents and families lead their teenagers in faith and disciple them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Our student ministry gets its name from a herd of Rhinos, which is called a “crash.” Rhinos cannot see further than 30 feet ahead, yet they run together with confidence at speeds of 30 miles per hour. Much like a herd of rhinos, the students at Ebenezer are a human CRASH running together towards Christ as an unstoppable force for the kingdom of God.

To learn more about our Crash Student Ministry, contact Youth Pastor Nathan Neighbors at nathan@ebcsc.com. We can’t wait to welcome you and your teenager(s) soon!

Stay Connected

Some of our annual events include Winter Retreat in February, Summer Camp & VBS in June, mission trip opportunities and other Florence youth events such as ONE NIGHT where we partner with other local youth groups. For more information about upcoming Crash Student Ministry events check out our flyer below!

Middle School

Beginning the summer before 6th grade, students in the Crash are offered a safe and supportive environment to navigate the highs and lows of those challenging middle school years.

With special classes offered during EBC’s annual Vacation Bible School program, as well as a dedicated CLC course offered at Sneed and other Middle Schools in Florence, we host a wide range of opportunities for students to learn what it means to follow Jesus.

High School

As students move on to high school, the Crash Student Ministry aims to provide guidance and support needed to transition into early adulthood and college.

We offer a variety of Sunday School classes, Sunday evening Discipleship Groups, and Wednesday evening worship services that teach practical skills for studying God’s word and being the hands and feet of Jesus in a complicated world.

College CRASH

Ebenezer provides a place for college students and young adults to connect with God, each other, and a church family with events throughout the year. Contact Nathan Neighbors at nathan@ebcsc.com for more info regarding the special events. College students are encouraged to connect with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) for a college student worship service. More info on BCM is found here.

Summer Camp

Each summer our students go together to a week of summer camp.  In recent years we have participated in camps such as Student Life, Centrifuge, and SummerSalt.  This summer our students are headed to SummerSalt at Charleston Southern University.

Church Calendar

Ebenezer Baptist Church was founded in 1778 near the banks of Jeffries Creek, not far from our current location today. Since that time, Ebenezer has sought to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to its community, state, nation, and world.
