Our Staff

Meet our Ebenezer staff.

David Wike

Pastor

I surrendered to ministry from a career in Information Technology almost 30 years ago. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, I moved to Louisiana to earn a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I returned to South Carolina in 1995 to serve as the Youth Pastor for Ebenezer. I then continued my education through Erskine Theological Seminary, earning a Doctor of Ministry. I am married to Diana and have two children, with one grandchild. I have served as the Senior Pastor at Ebenezer since 2001.

Nathan Neighbors

I am originally from Florence, South Carolina, but I have also served in both Lancaster and Spartanburg, South Carolina, as well as Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated in 1998 with a degree in music from Anderson University. I then graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002 with a Master’s degree in Christian Education and a Master’s degree in Counseling. I was blessed to marry my high school sweetheart, Ashley Ellis. We’ve been married and partners in ministry for 21 years. We have three wonderful sons, Anderson, Ellis & Luke. I enjoy singing, playing guitar, doing life with the Florence F3 men’s group, and working on home improvement projects in my spare time.

Andi Hill

I began this journey in March 2008 after having taught middle school music in the public school system for 32 years. I grew up in Pageland South Carolina, and graduated from Columbia College in 1975. I then received a Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of South Carolina. My childhood was centered around family, school, and church. I have been visiting Ridgecrest, which is one of my favorite places on earth, for conferences since the 4th grade! I have been married to Wayne for 36 years and have two sons, Blake and Louis. I also have two daughters-in-law, with Blake married to Amanda, and Louis married to Whitney Blue. My favorite part of working with families is having conversations with them, watching and worshipping with their children, and helping kids grow in their faith. When I’m not serving Ebenezer, I enjoy traveling with my family, gardening, reading, needlepoint, and cheering for my Gamecocks and Packers! And of course, music, music, music!

Dusty Kertis

I have worked at Ebenezer since 2010 as the Church Administrator. I help with finances, facilities, and Wednesday night suppers. Previously, I managed restaurants in both the upstate of South Carolina and in the Florence area. I graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Finance, and I love my Clemson Tigers! I grew up just outside of Florence, and I even attended the Daycare program here as a child. I currently attend Sardis Baptist Church where I lead the children’s ministry on Sunday nights. I am so happy to serve two churches, and to be a busy mom and wife. In my free time, I like to travel with my family, hike, camp, go to the beach, or experience any new adventure!

Marcia Watkins

I was born and raised in Darlington, South Carolina. After attending Francis Marion, I worked at Kolor Quick for many years. In 2013, I began serving at Ebenezer as the Ministry Assistant. Several years later, I am now joyfully fulfilling the role of Ministry Resource Coordinator. When I am not helping the church accomplish its goals, I enjoy watching Hallmark movies, listening to country music, drinking Chick-Fil-A sweet tea, and spending quality time with my two wonderful children, Molly and Luke. Molly is happily married to Devin Skinner, and I adore my son-in-law.

Melinda Miller

I have had the privilege of serving Ebenezer as the Ministry Assistant for 6 years. I am married to Greg, and have two children, Drake & Annabelle. I attended West Florence High School and Florence Darlington Technical College. I enjoy spending time with my family, supporting them, and watching them grow. I continue to look forward to being the hands and feet of Ebenezer as we grow the kingdom of God. One of my favorite verses in that I find strength in is Philippians 4:6 -7. It states, “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Matthew Andrews

I was born and raised in Florence, South Carolina. My parents actually visited Ebenezer one Sunday as a young married couple to check out the Children’s Ministry. They immediately felt welcomed by the people, and as a result, I grew up in this local church body. After I graduated from Presbyterian College with a BS in Business Administration: Management, an opportunity for me to serve at Ebenezer became available. Since the summer of 2018, I have had the joy of serving my home church. I am currently a student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where I am pursuing a Master of Divinity. When I am not serving or studying, I enjoy running, longboarding, surfing, and playing music.

Ebenezer Baptist Church was founded in 1778 near the banks of Jeffries Creek, not far from our current location today. Since that time, Ebenezer has continually sought to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to its community, state, nation, and world.
